Jacob Juma, the man who last week sensationally claimed that Mining Secretary Najib Balala demanded a Sh80 million bribe for him not to cancel Cortec license, is apparently “arming himself” before taking on the Cabinet secretary. We are told that Juma is gathering every available evidence that he intends to use in court when he files his suit against Balala later this week. The evidence according to our moles, include the alleged recording of Balala asking for the bribe as well as video recording of the same. Balala has denied any wrongdoing and dismisses Juma’s allegations.

A governor from western Kenya is in trouble with the electorate who accuse him of being perennially absent from his office and spending most of his time traveling for and from Nairobi and even out of the country all at their expense. Apparently the governor has not visited most parts of his county since he was elected in March and this is making for an unhappy electorate!

Just who will succeed Eddy Njoroge as Ken-Gen Chief Executive? We are told that various interest groups of URP and TNA operatives are lobbying to have their person appointed and that is why there has been a delay in making the announcement. The Energy Secretary has now found himself in an akward position.

A senior police officer in Naivasha is in hot soup after he released 11 foreigners of Asian origin arrested for being in the country without proper documents. The illegals were arrested as they were traveling along the Naivasha/Nairobi highway and were released by the senior cop after they parted with a huge sum of money. His bosses want to be told why the man released the illegals without first arraigning them in court.
