Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has today announced the long awaited 10-man list of executive or cabinet ministry nominees who will run various sectors in service delivery to residents of the county.

A well-known Malakooti clinic medic Dr Julius Ogeto was appointed to head the Health docket while Molo based entrepreneur Ms Pollyne Owoko is the minister for Public Service.
Professor Richard Kipsang Rop formerly of the ministry of livestock in Nakuru was appointed minister for Natural Resources, Environment, Water and Energy while Joel Maina Kairo was appointed minister for Roads, Public Works and Transport.
An ex-school high-school principal who unsuccessfully contested the Kuresoi south parliamentary seat during the last general elections on a Kanu ticket Joseph K Tanui is the county minister for Education, Culture, Youth and Social Services while Prof Mary Kariuki will head the Lands, Physical Planning and Housing ministerial docket.
Francis G Mathea was appointed to the powerful Finance and Planning ministry while Prof Samuel Ndung’u Gitau will be minister for Industrialization, Trade and Tourism minister.
Peter Kibe Mbae was appointed minister for ICT and e-Government.Prof Stanley Chepkwony minister for Agriculture. Livestock and Fisheries.
They were selected to be the best qualified professionals with experience to serve in these positions by a 15-man panel chaired by former Nakuru Chief Magistrate Gladys Ndeda which interviewed, shortlisted and vetted over 700 people who applied for various positions.
The nominees however together with those appointed to the public service board will however be vetted by the Nakuru County Assembly before starting their work.
